Meaningful Use Attestation

Step 1: Registration via CMS website

Registration is recommended ASAP in case you run into any issues that may take time to resolve. You can register anytime- before or after your EHR purchase.

1. Review Registration User Guide
   • Option 1: Doctor registers himself 
     Visit  https://ehrincentives.cms.gov/hitech/login.action
   • Option 2: User registering or attesting on behalf of an EP
     You must have an Identity and Access Management System (I&A) web user account (User ID/Password) and be associated to the EP's NPI. If you are working on behalf of an EP(s) and do not have an I&A web user account, please visit https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/NPPES/IASecurityCheck.do to create one.

Step 2: Enter MDsuite's Certification ID

30000002DJGYEAQ  (This can be entered when registering or attesting.)

Step 3: Complete 90 Days of Meaningful Use

1. Determine your consecutive 90-day time period, which cannot cross the calendar year. 
   For example, if you are attesting for the 2011 incentive, your 90-day period must start and end in 2011.
2. Meet all 15 core measures and 5 of the 10 menu measures

Step 4: Prepare for Attestation

• Review CMS resources to ensure you are adequately prepared to attest.

• Review MDsuite reports (Meaningful Use, Clinical Quality Measures)

Step 5: Attestation via CMS website

1. Visit  https://ehrincentives.cms.gov/hitech/login.action
2. Log in the same way you registered (step 1).
3. Complete the Attestation process.
4. Save key documents and reports in case of an audit.

Start preparing for your second year of Meaningful Use! If you chose to start in 2011 and receive the 2011 incentive payment, then you must show Meaningful Use the entire year, January 1, 2012- December 31, 2012.
